IGCSE Campus
OUR SUBJECTS
LGS is very proud of its senior campus, which houses both IGCSE and A’ Levels’ students. Students enter in class nine and graduate after appearing for their A’ Level exams.
IGCSE students of LGS JT have been achieving distinctions in academics. We have produced both regional and international position holders in the IGCSE examinations.
Subject Choices for Class IX
- In class nine, all students will be required to study a minimum of nine subjects which will include six compulsory subjects: English, Urdu, Islamiat, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies and English Literature plus any three optional subjects from option A.
- Students who wish to appear for more than 9 subjects can select from option B.
- Students will be required to appear from school in their Islamiat & Pakistan Studies papers in May / June after passing their grade Xs.
- Students are not permitted to appear in any other Cambridge Exam in class 9 or 10. Please, make sure you consult the administration before taking any decision regarding your son’s academic future.
- According to notification from the IBCC, students planning to pursue medicine or engineering have to take Biology/Computer Science together with Physics & Chemistry. Keeping these recommendations in mind, we would like you to fill in the subject choice form.
- Students are encouraged to take a combination of science and humanities subjects.

Subject Choices for Class X
- Students will appear through school for Pakistan Studies & Islamiat in May / June IGCSE Examination after passing their grade Xs. Students will appear in a minimum of 6 subjects including 3 compulsory subjects (English, Urdu and Mathematics) in June IGCSE Examinations the next year.
- Please, make sure you consult the administration before taking any decision regarding your son’s academic future.
- Students are encouraged to take a combination of science and humanities subjects.
- In class ten all students will be required to study minimum of eight subjects which will include five compulsory subjects: (English, Urdu, Islamiat, Mathematics and Pakistan Studies) and any three optional subjects from option A. Students must continue with the same Option A in Grade X that they selected in Grade IX.
- Students who wish to appear for nine or ten subjects can also select from option B. It is not advised to select more than two extra subjects.
- According to notification from the IBCC, students planning to pursue medicine or engineering have to take Biology/Computer Science together with Physics & Chemistry.
- Urdu as a Second Language (Urdu B) will be offered to foreign nationals only.
- An ICT aptitude test will be conducted in the first week of April. Students who achieve B or higher grade in this test will be eligible to take ICT as an additional subject in Grade X.
- Please note that Computer Science and ICT cannot be chosen simultaneously.
- Students who would like to opt English Literature, Psychology, Sociology, or Global Perspectives as additional subjects must obtain at least a C grade in English Language in the Final Examinations which will be held in May 2027.
